Dedicated to generating actionable intelligence, it investigates the environmental, biological, and human factors affecting the integrity of the U.S. Pacific coastline. Its work includes monitoring coastal waters, marine ecosystems, fisheries, ports, harbors, maritime commerce, and the interaction between human activity and the marine environment.
